The Historic Liberty Theatre was the only Afro-American Theater in Columbus. Performers such as Ma Rainey and Bo Jangles graced the stage of this Theater. The City of Columbus started renovation of this historic facility in March of 1995. The completed facility is now used as a Performing Arts Cultural Center for the entire community.
