Public Participation Plan

The Public Participation Plan (PP) is intended to provide a guideline for public involvement activities to be conducted by the Columbus Consolidated Government-Transportation Planning Division.  The plan is intended to identify a proactive public involvement process for the planning activities of the Columbus-Phenix City Metropolitan Planning Organization (CPCMPO).

It is also intended to enhance decision-making and to ensure the residents of Columbus, Georgia (and surrounding areas) are invited and encouraged to participate in the transportation planning process.  The purpose of this handbook is to provide guidelines for the evaluation of the public involvement techniques.
