The National Infantry Museum and Soldier Center

The National Infantry Museum and Soldier Center at Patriot Park tells the heroic story of everyday Infantrymen through an enviable collection of more than 30,000 artifacts. The museum offers visitors more than an education in military history. There is an IMAX Theatre, full service restaurant and gift store. Patriot Park includes a parade field for Fort Benning Infantry School graduations, a memorial walk of honor and an authentically recreated World War II Company Street. Springer Opera House

The Springer Opera House is a historic, live performance theater located in downtown Columbus. The Springer was opened on February 21, 1871. Many famous entertainers have performed on the Springer's stage; the list includes stars such as Edwin Booth, Ethel Barrymore, Agnes de Mille, and bandleader John Phillip Sousa. In 1971, the Springer was named the State Theatre of Georgia by Governor Jimmy Carter, a designation made permanent by the 1992 state legislature. In 1978, the Springer was designated as a National Historic Landmark. The Springer is located at:

RiverCenter for the Performing Arts

RiverCenter for the Performing Arts is located in the historic district of Uptown Columbus. The RiverCenter is the centerpiece of the city’s new arts and entertainment district. This 246,000 sq. ft. complex contains the 2,000-seat Bill Heard Theatre, the 450-seat Legacy Hall and the 220-seat Studio Theatre. Columbus Symphony Orchestra

Founded in 1855 by Mendelssohn's student, Herman S. Saroni, the Columbus Symphony Orchestra became the third orchestra formed in the United States. In 1949, the organization as we know it today, was formed and has performed for 57 consecutive years. The CSO has been a professional orchestra since the late 1970's and employs as many as 90 musicians for any given concert. Long recognized as one of the southeast's finest musical ensembles, the CSO currently performs at RiverCenter for the Performing Arts. George Del Gobbo has been the conductor of the Columbus Symphony Orchestra for the last 21 seasons. The Columbus Symphony Orchestra performs at the RiverCenter located at:

Rankin Arts Center

The Rankin Arts Center is the downtown venue for Columbus State University's Continuing Education Program. The Rankin Arts Center serves as a focal point for the arts community in the Uptown area by offering a wide variety of innovative, high quality, flexible programs in visual and performing arts. The Columbus Civic Center: The center of it all!  

The Columbus Civic Center

The Columbus Civic Center is a multipurpose public assembly facility with 10,000 arena seats, 23,000 square feet of flat floor space and 5,000 square feet of hospitality suites. The Civic Center is the premiere venue in a large sports and entertainment complex, commonly known as The South Commons Sports and Entertainment Complex. The Civic Center is also home to two professional sports franchises: the South Professional Hockey League's Columbus Cottonmouths and the American Indoor Football Association's Columbus Lions. The Columbus Museum

The largest art and history museum in Georgia and one of the largest museums in the Southeast, the Columbus Museum welcomes visitors from all over the world. The Museum is particularly known for its concentration on American art and the history of the region. Blast off to the Coca-Cola Space Science Center  

Coca-Cola Space Science Center

The Coca-Cola Space Science Center is a division of Columbus State University, opened for the purpose of educating the public in space sciences. The Space Science Center's state of the art facility houses a Challenger Learning Center, the Omnisphere Theater and the Mead Observatory. At the Challenger Learning Center, groups of 20-30 can experience a simulated mission, on an appointment basis. The Omnisphere has a high-resolution, full-dome projection system used for viewing stars day or night. National Civil War Naval Museum at Port Columbus

The National Civil War Naval Museum at Port Columbus features two original Civil War military vessels, uniforms, equipment and weapons used by the Union and Confederate navies. Interactive exhibits, including a Confederate ironclad ship simulator, offer the visitor an opportunity to experience 19th century naval combat first hand. Every March, come experience RiverBlast. See the legendary Civil War battle between the USS Monitor and the CSS Virginia (the former USS Merrimac). And stay for the firing of the 7" Brooke Rifle. Visit Port Columbus at:

Historic Columbus Foundation

The Historic Columbus Foundation is a nonprofit organization. Its mission is to promote historic preservation, heritage education, and heritage tourism in Columbus, Georgia. The Historic Columbus Foundation projects include the establishment of the Columbus Historic District, Heritage Corner, Heritage Park, and many more. Heritage Park is a joint project of Historic Columbus Foundation, Uptown Columbus, and the City of Columbus. The mission of Heritage Park is to provide the citizens and guests of Columbus, a meaningful insight into the industrial history of Columbus, through interpretive sculptures and descriptive venues.
