Planning Advisory Commission (PAC) The Muscogee Planning Advisory Commission (PAC) are nine members, including a Chairperson. Meetings are usually held in the Council Chambers in the Government Center on the first and third Wednesday of each month at 9.00 am to review matters such as rezonings, Special Use Permits, Moved-in-House applications, Buffer Reduction requests, site plans, Zoning Resolution amendments, land use plan amendments and other current and long-range planning projects. PAC has no legislative powers but is appointed by Council to listen to the concerns of citizens and developers, evaluate recommendations made by the planning staff and make recommendations to Council. These recommendations are usually to approve, approve with conditions, or deny applications.
*Applications must be submitted to the Planning Division of the Columbus Consolidated Government before 5:00 p.m. of the deadline date along with all applicable fees. Required signs must be posted at the time of application submission. A site plan is required with all applications for all high-density residential and commercial zoning requests. No applications will be accepted unless the applicant submits all pertinent information and required signs are posted. **Tuesday dates due to holidays The applicant or his appointed representative must be present at the Planning Advisory Commission meeting and at the public hearing held by the City Council. You will be notified regarding the date and time of the public hearing held by the City Council.
